I was a new patient establishing care and going for my physical. The doctor was kind but I feel like the visit was so structured like checking boxes but not getting to know me as a new patient. Additionally, she didn't even listen to my heart and/or lungs. Once she left I thought she was coming back or something. There wasn't even a "nice to meet you, I'll contact you when I review labs, etc. I was so confused once the nurse asked me to follow her to the lab. I just asked the nurse if she could tell the doctor that it was nice to meet her. The nurse said ok. But the doctor did seem knowledgeable and didn't minimize anything I said. Additionally, I'm used to doctors not having great bedside manner especially compared to nurse practitioners so my hopes and expectations weren't that high anyway.
