Dr Trammel is not my issue, nor are my other Atrium providers. My issue is two fold. I grow weary of making sure I am on time (because if I am 15 minutes late I will be told upon arrival to reschedule) and then having no respect for MY time when I then wait 45 mins just to be called back only to wait another 30-45 minutes to be seen because Atrium has the doctors so overbooked. My time is certainly as valuable as corporate Atrium staff. Secondly, same issue with scheduling. I have to sit on hold for extended periods of time just to make an appointment. The doctors and staff are caring and do a great job. Atrium mgmt needs to think about the stress they are creating for everyone concerned - I get that revenue, cost and profit (on which bonuses are based), drive staffing and that Atrium is a for profit organization. Perhaps an Atrium representative should walk a mile in the shoes of the doctors, nurses and other staff that provide us care to understand the stress you're putting on all concerned - patients included. Cost is cost but the ramifications of cutting labor to this extent are having a negative impact on the service provided. Staff and equipment are not the only costs above the line. Cut costs elsewhere.
