I've been with Dr Stoffel for many years (before she was married) and I love her! Have followed her wherever she went.
Dr. Stoffel is not my provider but was willing to take a look at my post surgery incision. She determined that it looked normal and did not need an antibiotic.

The visit was transactional. The MD introduced herself to me as if it was the first time meeting her which is not the case. While listening to my heart, she mentioned a murmur. If my charts were reviewed, she would have known I have a bicuspid aortic valve with moderate stenosis. Apparently the office is busy and it may leave little time for prep with just 15 minutes per patient. The PA who screen me before the MD visit was better prepared and asked relevant questions. The intent of feedback is to help. I hope it is received with that in mind. A policy comment for Atrium: The "Understand Preventive Care" memo/letter. It explains what is included in preventive care and what is not included. I felt like I had to be careful what I communicate since it may turn into an additional charge. "New or current health problems are not part of preventive care." This is a ridiculous statement. How can an MD lower my chance of getting certain health problems without discussing current ones? Basically your policy is creating transactional care. Symptoms vs wholistic patients care. If you want to maximize revenue, just raise your Annual Preventative Exam fee and let your MD focus on the whole patient.
Dr. Stoffel always listens to my symptoms and offers options when available. She has been my physician for many years. She's the best!
