I felt comfortable and respected

This was my first visit to this doctor and this office. Doctor Schwartz was pleasant and seemed very knowledgeable and competent. He communicated clearly what he saw and what he thinks happened to my arm, and how he thinks I will recover. I would have enjoyed the overall experience more if the nurses had taken more time to explain to me everything they were doing. I was especially surprised when the first nurse took my information and said the doctor will be in shortly, then another nurse came in saying it was time for my X-ray. Apparently that is a standard step before talking with the doctor, and the first nurse ordered an X-ray for me but did not tell me. So I was concerned that I was getting an unnecessary scan, or that they were taking me to an X-ray by mistake when they meant to get another patient. That was not the case and the doctor did indeed use the X-ray to evaluate my symptoms and explain what he saw to me. Some more explanation of the process up front would have helped me feel more comfortable throughout my visit.
