My visit with Dr.Stein was amazing! I came to see Dr. Stein about menopause issues. For the first time a doctor didn't just gloss over my symptoms but truly listened to me and my concerns. Dr.Stein let me know that l no longer have to suffer silently with my menopause issues. Dr.Stein provided a treatment plan for my symptoms and gave me the pros and possible cons for treatment prescribed. Dr.Stein is very passionate about her work regarding menopause and more doctors like her are needed in this field as too many women with menopause issues are just brushed off and not provided the proper care to make this time in their lives more bearable. I'm looking forward to having Dr.Stein as one of my ongoing physicians because she truly cares about helping to improve my life during as I navigate through my post menopausal journey.

Dr. Stein has been nothing but amazing on all my health care treatments over the years. I have not even tried going to any other provider. She is extremely knowledgeable on what she does. I feel very blessed to have her as my provider!

My appointment was at 11:15 and was told to be there at 11:00. I was a little early. I did not see the doctor until 12:30. That was too long of a wait!!!

This was my first visit ever to this office and with Dr. Aviva Stein. It took 2 to 3 months to get this first appointment, since she is so booked. Thankfully, I was not in a hurry. More menopause specialists are needed at Atrium, and honestly every GYN should know way more about menopause than any of them do! From my research, I believe I only found two available within Atrium. Dr. Stein was fantastic, and I've already told several women about her! The whole idea of women staying on estrogen because of all the benefits is a change from the old belief that it significantly raises your risk of breast cancer. This word needs to get out to all doctors, and especially all gynecologists! Menopause is such a major change in a woman's body and education is needed badly for how to best live through these changes.. As my first appointment, I expected more than the 15 or 20 minutes that she had for me. I have already educated myself somewhat, which is what brought me to her in the first place, to review my specific situation and make any adjustments if necessary. Most women are still stuck in the old way of thinking that estrogen after 50 is cancer causing. I had no idea that estrogen was so important for so many other parts of my body and overall good health! My previous gynecologist from 10 years ago, did me no favors, and never took any time to discuss menopause with me. This word needs to get out, and all gynecologist need menopause training! I'm spreading the word to all my friends and family, and I hope Atrium is waking up to this new reality of health education about menopause, and how important (foremost, women) it is to get on transdermal estrogen, and progesterone, (and to understand that it's different than estrogen by the pill! I never realized there was a big difference between the two and how they work. Dr. Stein was fantastic! She listened well and we had a great conversation! I would highly suggest offering group sessions of women to meet with her and discuss menopause in a group setting. I would certainly participate in that and recommend it to others to attend. Our understanding of menopause has come a long way, but it still has a long, long way to go to get everyone on board about the new discoveries, and how different it is from the previous way of looking at HRT's and menopause. I wish I knew this information 15 years ago, but I too, was stuck in the belief that I would be raising my risk of breast cancer. Thank you for including at least two menopause specialists in the Atrium family. Please hire 20 more, and educate all of your gynecologists in menopause, and offer group settings for menopause discussions with your patients. Menopause and its effect on our bodies is very complex andcomplicated, and deserves more than a 15 minute discussion with a specialist!
