First time meeting Dr. Stein and made the right choice in changing gyn provider with her. I am happy that she specializes in menopausal hormonal therapy.

Aviva Stein has been my doctor for over 20 years. I trust her and have always been appreciative of her dedication to the most important aspect of the relationship between doctor and client which is patient care. I feel the office and healthcare system is overbooked, rushed and not streamlined. Furthermore, the increased use of technology and overriding of human interaction is, in my opinion, a big mistake. I have no interest whatsoever in being on hold, listening to a lengthy pre-recorded message or looking at my doctor through a computer screen. This has become an increasing challenge in making appointments with my provider. With her attention to patient care, I feel she is doing all that she can in order to counter that approach to patient relations within the office and Atrium Health system.
Dr Stein is an excellent provider. She listens well and is a great communicator. I highly recommend her.
I would like to share feedback about my recent GYN appointment, and I want to be clear upfront-I've thought a lot about this because I don't take giving feedback lightly. I waited eight months for this appointment. Eight months of dealing with symptoms that have genuinely been affecting my daily life. So when the day finally came, I was hoping for a thoughtful conversation about what I've been experiencing and a collaborative approach to figuring out next steps. Instead, the visit felt incredibly rushed. I wasn't even finished explaining everything I've been dealing with before the provider stood up and started moving toward the door. I left with a laundry list of supplements and medications to try, but without really understanding why or how they might help my specific situation. The whole experience felt transactional-more like a quick checkout at Walmart than a healthcare appointment. I get that schedules are tight and practices are busy. I really do. But after waiting so long and struggling for a year, I needed more than what felt like a speed-run through my concerns. When I trust someone with my physical health, I expect that same level of investment and care in return. I'm sharing this because I think this matters-for me and probably for other patients too.
