Benfield is the best doctor for children! My kids love him!
Dr. Benfield is fantastic and the care that he provides to our son is exceptional. Our only concern with Shelby Children's Clinic is the difficulty that we have had in getting an appointment when our son is sick. It is nearly impossible to get a sick appointment with Dr. Benfield and just as unlikely to get an appointment in a timely manner with any medical doctor at the Shelby Children's Clinic. We usually end up having to go to CVS Minute Clinic or another walk in clinic, which we would prefer not to do, for sick visits. Something needs to be done to open up availability for appointments with pediatricians for children who are sick.

Dr. Benfield is AMAZING!! Not only is he wonderful with my child he is also wonderful with myself! I can't express how thankful I am for him !!
Anytime I have a visit with him about one of our children, he always provides the best care. He always listens and throughly explains everything he discusses with us. He interacts with our children in such a kind manner. He is a pediatrician we fully trust with our children's care. This visit in particular he wrote down a plan of care to help diagnose our daughter's problem and explained every step. He had a student with him this visit; I hope those students learn from him not only the medical information, but learn his bedside manner.
