Peniston is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in women’s health. She is skilled in treating depression, mood and anxiety disorders.
She won the Atrium Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Teal Acorn Academician of the Year Award and the APP Teal Acorn Leader of the Year Award.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at Vanderbilt University.
Peniston is married and the mother of 2 sons. She enjoys gardening, traveling, running and camping with her family.
