During the appointment, I felt that Dr Morales appeared inattentive and rushed. She did not take the time to ask questions and listen fully to the history of my child's previous similar experiences. She seemed to be under the impression that I should have taken my child to his primary provider office and risk exposing him to unnecessary illnesses. As a parent, I found this concerning, as a thorough understanding of my child's symptoms and background is crucial to providing appropriate care. Especially whenever I follow the plan of care that his pediatrician has provided me with in the past for the same symptoms that he was having. I understand that healthcare providers often work under time constraints, but I believe that active listening and patient engagement are essential-especially in pediatric care. I left the appointment feeling unheard and worried that important details may have been overlooked. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it can be used constructively to improve communication and attentiveness in future patient interactions.
