Dr. Comer is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). He is vice chair of the OB/GYN Department at Atrium Health Pineville. Dr. Comer received the Medical Student Teaching Award from the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center OB/GYN Department. He is also a faculty preceptor for the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He holds a special interest in minimally-invasive surgeries, robotic surgeries, treating fibroids, menopause symptoms and infertility.
Dr. Comer was drawn to medicine because of the opportunity to care for others and give back to the community. He chose to be an OB/GYN because it allows him to build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families and to provide care for a wide variety of needs.
He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina and completed his residency at Atrium Health.
Outside of work, Dr. Comer loves spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys cooking, hunting, traveling and skiing.

Very nice and friendly
Three of my family members have seen Dr. Comer and highly recommended him. I have not been to an OB/GYN office in many years. When I called to make an appointment for a medical concern, I received one within a day and a half. My visit was great. I went in for a medical issue and was offered a GYN exam as well. It was a very good experience with a physician who truly seemed to care about me. The whole experience made me wish for my younger days so I could be a patient more often.
I really love him. He explained everything to me. He did not rush me. He was a great doctor. I give him a 10.

Dr. Comer is an excellent professional provider. He has delivered my 2 grandchildren and has responded with any health concerns I may have. He is knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Comer for your gynecologist needs.

This was a yearly visit under Medicare. So if I had a concern I couldn't ask. If I had of asked a question Medicare would not pay.
