I had an infected finger. She used a scalpel to slice near my nail bed and then squeeze out the pus. i was in a lot of pain prior to this. She sprayed me with a topical anesthetic, which seemed ok for the scalpel slice. Then - she squeezed out the pus. I passed out from the pain. I think a local would have helped! The team was good monitoring me thru the next 10 minutes when my blood pressure kept dropping. I finally came around. It was an awful experience, but I am doing ok now. (I never looked at my finger during this procedure.) Fortunately, I told Sarah I was lightheaded and she responded quickly. Maybe putting me in other then a chair would have been better. Thankful it all worked out.
