“So much of our health is related to our backgrounds and upbringings. I love building a rapport with patients and being able to care for generations in the same family.”
Dr. Melville is board certified in family medicine. She has clinical interests in the management of chronic diseases, preventive care and women’s health. She lives by a simple philosophy: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
She received her medical degree at the State University of New York and completed residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places with her dog, Charli.

Most RecentProvider is great: facility is NOT— (Scott Road bldg, Dilworth area) elevator is filthy, whole waiting room is needing an update and remodel. It makes me reluctant to go there, but I love the doctor.
She listened to me and addressed all my concerns.
I have really enjoyed the care I have received from all of the Atrium care providers. Thank you!!!
Good
My daughter referred me to Dr Melville, I have since referred my sister in law and brother in law to her. Everyone enjoys working with her and feels that she is professional and provides exceptional care and advice. Im so happy we have her as our PCP.
I have already recommended Dr. Melville and her practice group. I have a great deal of confidence in Dr. Melville.
Dr. Melville provided outstanding care, demonstrating a remarkable commitment to my well-being. It is evident that She prioritized my health and took the time to listen to my concerns. She was thorough in her approach, conducting comprehensive assessments and explaining each step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. Her attention to detail ensured that no aspect of my health was overlooked, and she consistently followed up to monitor my progress. Dr. Melville's dedication to managing my health effectively gave me confidence in my treatment plan and made me feel supported throughout my journey. I truly appreciate her expertise and the compassionate care she provided.
I visited for a post ER visit. My regular appointed PCP was on vacation, so I was seen by an associate. The associate did not know my medical history, and I don't believe any notes from my ER visit were even reviewed before I was seen. I also felt the appointment was extremely rushed, as I barely spent 5 minutes with the doctor. At the end, I only received particular bloodwork because I asked for it. I am unsure what the purpose of the hospital strongly recommending a post ER visit if it means seeing a doctor who has no clue of your visit, and is not going to take the time to understand your case. Maybe this was a one off due to a busy schedule covering for an associate on vacation, but this visit completely changed my view on this practice. I am now considering changing PCP's to receive better care instead of feeling like someone to just bill and send out of the door as quickly as possible.
Dr. Melville is great! She is thoughtful and prepared for my appointments and listens well.
Great dr. Love seeing her. I drive from Kannapolis just to see her and there are a lot of other options.
