Dr. Vedra Augenstein.....is a World-Class Professional...on many levels. A joy to have met her & her amazing staff. All of my previous problems...are just memories now. Forever grateful to all the Atrium personnel, that brought my documented survival "miracle"....to fruition. I detailed it all, in my book.....I Am Warrior.

Im glad that the team are willing to make sure my Mom gets the best treatment and will not have to do another hernia surgery. This will be her 3rd one and im not sure she will be able to take it again considering her age... so thank you all...

I did have an experience that I was very uncomfortable with when I had called to make an appointment. First let me explain. I had a consult with the Dr months ago and she wanted me to continue my weight loss and get down to 220 pounds before I make an appointment and between the appointment and my surgery date to work on the other 20 pounds. She also told me if I had any problems to give her a call. Now I had called to schedule an appointment as I was continually sick and nauseous and some pain so I called almost two months before I had my visit. The person I spoke with was not friendly or understanding. I felt she didn't really listen to me. All she would continue telling me was that it didn't matter that the dr wasn't going to do surgery until I finished losing what she requested. I tried telling her I wasn't wanting to come in to see her for that and tried to explain why I was calling. She continued telling me that the dr wouldn't schedule me any earlier. I was so aggravated speaking with her but she finally made me an appointment and after I got off of the phone the more I thought about the conversation the madder I would get so I called back and canceled the appointment and just suffered until I lost enough weight to please whomever it was I spoke to.she not only didn't want me to make an appointment and was hateful to me. Other than that I had a great experience.
Dr. Augenstein was very professional. She spoke/explained things to me in laymen terms. She was compassionate and concerned about me and my health concerns. Dr. Augenstein also put my mind at ease concerning my upcoming surgery. I'm confident in choosing Dr. Augenstein as my surgeon.
